This potential LEED Silver community centre in Toronto’s West End would rehabilitate an abandoned factory in a dense urban neighborhood. The direction from the numerous community engagement events was to salvage the existing linseed oil factory and create amenities for this vibrant family centred neighborhood.

The existing factory has a large area surrounding it which is unusable by the community. The study proposed allowing access to this plaza space before the redevelopment occurred. These studies proposed ways to use this space.

The feasibility design focused heavily on LEED and included many diagrams and studies of how the proposal would relate back to the LEED Checklist.
